At the beginning of each year, the Home produces a projected budget of what we would like to be able to spend during the upcoming year.
Actual income is often below the desired amount and our actual expenditure is less than our budget. This can be seen in the differences between the
2009 budget and the
2009 accounts, the latter of which will be made available once they have been audited although total expenditure was close to $450,000. The 2010 budget will be
available once it has been ratified by the Board of Trustees.
The Home's accounts are externally audited by the accounting firm Graham Carr.
The Home of Hope's vision for the next five years is laid out in the Home's Strategic Plan. This was authored by Mr. P. Kilembe and we expect it to be ratified
at the next Board of Trustees' meeting.
